I’m Katie–I used to have a blog called Knits & Grits (July 2004-July 2007), but it came time for a fresh start and new blog. This is it!

I love to sew and knit, read and cook, bake bread, take pictures, and spend time with my family. Not necessarily in that order. Sewing and knitting are my “daily thread”; that is, I rely on a little of each to help me relax and get by. Not that I get to do either on a daily basis, but we can always dream! I live with my husband and two children in South Carolina, a great (if a bit steamy) place to live. Current interests include homeschooling (we’re in our second year), eating more whole and natural foods, and eating more from our little raised-bed vegetable garden in the ONE sunny place we have in our tree-lined yard.
