Today’s post is brought to you by the very handy bullet point. And some gratuitous flower photos. And YouTube.

  • I cast on for my May Day Sock Swap pal’s socks last night. I’m using this soft green Opal and the Artichoke pattern, found on Ravelry, but readily available for free at Soxie. I’m going to try knitting them both at once on one 40″ circ. This is pretty crazy for me, but I always dread the second sock. (I am not a “process” knitter.)

  • I was so excited the other day when I discovered that I could buy my favorite bra at Amazon! I could hardly believe it. I hate clothes shopping, and even more when it’s for bras. I have one really good Wonderbra that I have had since a year or so before I had DJ, which I wear almost all the time. It’s black, though, so it only goes under certain things; and also, when you only have one favorite bra, it’s in the wash a lot. I have some others that I will wear when pressed, but I wanted a few more that I loved like that one. So I googled Wonderbra to see if I could find them online and save myself a shopping trip, and lo and behold, they were on Amazon. Even the exact same style as the one I already have. So I bought two. (Was that too much information?)
  • First daff!
  • Also clothing-related, I found the greatest pair of jeans. They’re Levi’s 542 and I love them. They have a tab-closure at the front, which Stacy and Clinton seem to recommend a lot, and they also have these flapped back pockets, which give me a little shape in the back. I bought them at Kohl’s, and if they had more I’d buy them up. But they only had one pair. Boo. Anyway, they’re super comfy and they’re my new faves.
  • Grape hyacinths
  • I love YouTube. Because of YouTube (and bloggers like Rachel), I have rediscovered some old favorites. Like They Might Be Giants, who were big when I was in college (did anyone else watch “Tiny Toon Adventures”? Brynne? I had the cassette that had “Particle Man” and “Istanbul (Not Constantinople)” on it back then.) We downloaded a bunch of songs on iTunes the other day from “Here Come the ABCs“. Excellent kiddo music. I especially like “High Five“…it’s sort of disco.

And, that’s about all for today. Have a great weekend!
