Today’s post is brought to you by the very handy bullet point. And some gratuitous flower photos. And YouTube.
- I cast on for my May Day Sock Swap pal’s socks last night. I’m using this soft green Opal and the Artichoke pattern, found on Ravelry, but readily available for free at Soxie. I’m going to try knitting them both at once on one 40″ circ. This is pretty crazy for me, but I always dread the second sock. (I am not a “process” knitter.)
- I was so excited the other day when I discovered that I could buy my favorite bra at Amazon! I could hardly believe it. I hate clothes shopping, and even more when it’s for bras. I have one really good Wonderbra that I have had since a year or so before I had DJ, which I wear almost all the time. It’s black, though, so it only goes under certain things; and also, when you only have one favorite bra, it’s in the wash a lot. I have some others that I will wear when pressed, but I wanted a few more that I loved like that one. So I googled Wonderbra to see if I could find them online and save myself a shopping trip, and lo and behold, they were on Amazon. Even the exact same style as the one I already have. So I bought two. (Was that too much information?)
- Also clothing-related, I found the greatest pair of jeans. They’re Levi’s 542 and I love them. They have a tab-closure at the front, which Stacy and Clinton seem to recommend a lot, and they also have these flapped back pockets, which give me a little shape in the back. I bought them at Kohl’s, and if they had more I’d buy them up. But they only had one pair. Boo. Anyway, they’re super comfy and they’re my new faves.
- I love YouTube. Because of YouTube (and bloggers like Rachel), I have rediscovered some old favorites. Like They Might Be Giants, who were big when I was in college (did anyone else watch “Tiny Toon Adventures”? Brynne? I had the cassette that had “Particle Man” and “Istanbul (Not Constantinople)” on it back then.) We downloaded a bunch of songs on iTunes the other day from “Here Come the ABCs“. Excellent kiddo music. I especially like “High Five“…it’s sort of disco.
And, that’s about all for today. Have a great weekend!

I have such a hard time shopping for bras, too. I’ve never thought of shopping online for them. Just out of curiosity, which one do you like the best?

Great flower pictures!
I don’t think the bra info was too much - I’d consider that a public service announcement! :)

Ditto on the bra info. Thanks for reminding me. I hate shopping, too.
Nice wallaby! And thanks for the shoutout. I am a firm believer one can find ANYTHING on youtube. Even a slew of TMBG. Hey…”slew” might be a good Scrabulous word. Must file that one away.

I have the same clothing habits - when I find something I like I buy a bunch. Case in point: J Crew’s shorts that come in a million different lengths? I own a 7″ pair in just about every color. I think i am going to buy a couple in the 9″ length this year just to shake things up.

Bra shopping is the worst. I really have to be int eh mood to shop for anything actually. Well, except yarn. And fiber. And now fabric. :)

you should try amazons mp3 site. right after you buy some of their stock, right? mp3’s from them don’t have any coding issues (non-drm) which means, that you can copy them and share them and play them on any mp3 player, and more often than not, they are cheaper than itunes. the selection isn’t as hot, but is getting better.
your new camera is working out nice huh? your photos are even more beautiful than ever!
