It’s official…I’m a Raveler.
I received my invitation in July, and I even went in and looked around a little–added a project, played with the features. But I didn’t get too involved. But sometime last week, I logged back in and went crazy. Most of my favorite bloggers are all set up there, and it is so fun to see all of the FOs from one pattern in one place. My queue is growing by the day (although like you said, Beth, it’s unlikely I’ll ever knit it all)! Anyway. It’s fun, I have almost all of my FOs added to my notebook now, and I know I will enjoy it a lot. I already do.
I am more than halfway finished with AJ’s reindeer sweater. I’ve completed the back and two fronts, so all I have to do are the sleeves, collar, and button bands. The intarsia looks awful, but, what can you do? Guess I could have dup stitched it. Oh well. I’m going to keep trying at intarsia till I finally get good at it. Good thing DJ’s sweater is going to be all fair isle, though. I think I might take a break between the two reindeer and knit a couple of Wonderful Wallabies. I’ve had the pattern for a while, and Mandy’s and Jen’s have really made me itchy to knit it. I have to take DJ to the dermatologist today to see about his weird peeling hands and feet, and AC Moore and Michaels are right around there. Let’s see if we can find us some nice Patons wool, shall we?
Photos of AJ’s reindeer (and DJ’s new monster truck PJs) to come.

Yea so happy to see you on ravelry! I love that site but I haven’t set time aside yet to really get my projects in order. One of these days… =)

well I can’t say anything about ravelry since I am not a part of it….but I am sure that your intarsia looks fine. We are always our own worst critics, and your Big Digger looks great.
I read your pattern review on SMS and you were so thorough! I love using french seams. They make things so FINISHED. I found the favorite things patterns at our bernina store- they didn’t have the prarie dress I want but I did get the jammies to make some for myself. I also put the cami on the fold- why bother with a seam right up the middle? Seems silly to me!!!

Yeh. Ravelry will suck you in, big time.
Now I’m off to see what the heck a Wallaby is…

Ravelry is fun and exciting! I was hooked right away, and the queue is getting longer and longer, too. Glad you’re a friend :)

I can see it now. We’ll all be in our 90’s, still trying to work down the projects in our queues! LOL! :)
The queue has actually been quite helpful for me. I see all the things I want to knit and it’s inspiring me to finish my WIPs!
